Exhibitor Opportunities
You are cordially invited be a part of our 8th Annual Stowe Weekend of Hope Health & Information Fair on Saturday, May 3, 2008. The Health & Information Fair will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Stowe High School in Stowe, Vermont. Show set-up is on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Teardown is after 4:30 p.m.
The primary purpose of the Stowe Weekend of Hope is to present an opportunity for cancer
survivors and their families to gather with others with similar medical, spiritual and emotional
circumstances, and with members of the medical community. They are able to further their
understanding of the disease affecting their lives while in a healthy and healing environment.
The event also raises funds for local cancer organizations, including Vermont Cancer Network,
through donations from participating Stowe businesses and event attendees.
The 2008 event will be held May 2-4 and, like past events, the town of Stowe will open its
community and hearts to cancer survivors and their loved ones from all over the United States
and Canada. The weekend includes both educational and inspirational components including:
- Seminars and discussion groups led by top oncologists and cancer specialists
- Dessert lectures, Candlelight Service, Nature Walks and Yoga/Relaxation sessions
- Information Fair with resources, health screenings, book signings and free samples
- Amtrak donating one car of The Vermonter train for attendees to travel from Washington DC and points north to the event in Stowe
- Flags of Hope and Healing created throughout the weekend for a Sunday closing ceremony
- Stowe Area Association members donating lodging, meeting space and a portion of
revenues from sales (valued at about $50,000 in 2007)
The event is brought to life by Stowe Area Association, the Vermont Cancer Center, and the
Vermont Cancer Network.
Display space at the Health & Information Fair is by reservation only, paid in advance (if applicable) by April 1, 2008.
